Many people ask - why is my medical insurance plan so expensive?

My response as a Health Insurance Professional - medical insurance is expensive because of the cost of medical treatments and medications.

It is not easy for a consumer to find the so-called "retail price" of the treatments they are receiving and their prescriptions - wish it was!

   Note I am, however, glad to see some progress is being made to make this information available.

In the meantime some cost information periodically becomes available.  In the medication area - GoodRx does a great job making the cost of certain medication available.

I am pleased to share this March 8, 2019 post from GoodRx which lists the 20 most expensive medications.  The amount in their chart is the monthly cost. Under the list, they provide some information about each of the 20 medications
